Redacted | Torn and Frozen

January 24, 2014  •  1 Comment

This will be short -- I think I caught my daughter's cold.

Better, I caught some gorgeous, winter light today. I spent the afternoon working on the same torn and folded pages from two nights ago, some since frozen.

Happily, my mind was filled with project ideas and pictures, not the plodding existential meanderings of Wednesday night.

These are a few, quick edits. More to come when I feel better.

Hi Sue, Thank you for sharing. These are so gorgeous on a purely visual level. The use of white and lights reminds me of John Singer Sargent's use of white in his watercolors of the cathedrals in Venice. Truly beautiful! Then there is the vulnerability you are exposing. I can feel your cautious exposure of these words...your past. The process has a real emotional quality as you peel away, catalog and compose these images...it almost feels like years of journaling in reverse. Looking forward to seeing more!
